My kind friends surprised me with some Sehri from Smoke on my birthday, have been hearing a lot about this place, mixed review honestly. However I am yet to try their famous burger, so will just speak of what we did eat.
We had 3 kinds of Pizza, the flavours were experimental I guess would be the word to describe. Not exactly "Bengali" pizza like we grew up with, neither American or Real Italian. it was a cross in between. Honestly the mixture of the flavours confused me, as they added fruits and kacha morich but in a combination my buds were not too used to, although one of them was regular onion, olive, pepper mushroom. However, some of my friends liked it, so please judge yourselves!
The chicken wings however, for the spicy lovers was quite perfect. Recommend that.

Grilled Eggplant with Feta Cheese
Fasting keeps me more obsessed about food than usual, and planning out iftaars has become my hobbe of the month.
For the 2nd day of Ramadan I decided to make use of whatever I had in the fridge to add an extra dish to Iftaar menu for me and Mum.
I improvised on this recipe I found off the BBC site :
1. Cut 2 1cm lines in the eggplant to grill
2. made a dressing of olive oil, garlic (cut up), and mashed feta cheese
3. poured the dressing over the eggplant and sprinked salt and pepper.

Spitfire Lunch with the homies.
As jet lag finally leaves (a month after moving to Dhaka) I finally managed to join the lot for lunch, Catching up with Nusha, John and Amber at an old favourite "SpitFire" in Gulshan, one of the few places which has some green for view in our concrete neighbourhood (despite the fact John complained its too hot to eat meat, even though Nandos was not considered "meat")
It has been many years since I came here, and my taste buds have evolved, as my beloved lamb chops did not taste as heavenly as they used to. However the Grilled Calamai was Very Good, and my favourite of the meal was the warm rolls and real butter squares. (I'm a sucker for italian bread and butter)
The Imported Beef was not worth the triple price, lamb chops I'd give an okay, however did enjoy taking a bite of John's Italian Chicken Curry thing. Although most dishes taste too similar, it still will never be on my "never again" list.
