A Housewarming Dinner

Its always tough moving to a new place, especially where you don't know anyone from before. Have met a wonderful Bangali bunch, but I was wonderfully surprised to meet such great people at Berklee.

So I invited some of my new friends to come by and chill at my new place, which I found after 3 weeks of apartment hunting!

I made "Motorshuti Alu Bhaji" or "Stir Fried Peas and Potatoes"

Khuchudi with Begun: (rice&lentil mix with eggpant)

Keema Alu Bhuna (Minced meat and potato fried curry)

The meal:

The wonderful company:

Was a wonderful evening with wonderful people :D

The first meal in my Boston apartment

I'm yet to use the word "home" for this place. Maybe it's because I've been to busy and broke to decorate it my way. But its becoming more and more of my place.

Anyway this was the first meal I cooked at my new place: Of course I made chicken curry and rice. (you guys know thats my staple food.)

The apartment is great, and I love the little kitchen :D

Rice and Chicken being cooked:

I wont lie and say I always cook great, but that day it wasn't so bad!

It was a reddish curry:

And it starts: the cooking in Boston :D

Another disappointing attempt to have good Thai food begins here:

this is a thai place in flushing, Queens:

we had the coconut soup which was OK:

Thai Iced Tea and Shamin Apa:

Green Curry: which was sweet, and NOT yummy, i could only eat a few bites.

Like the previous Thai place we went to, The Fried Rice was pretty good:

Like I said, the fly ly was okay, but no green curry for my taste buds :(
